Why we shouldn't buy products that contain palm oil
Come on speak up you chocolate lovers its time to face the facts, not all chocolates are worth
price.
But the price you pay for chocolates that contain palm oil is death for some animals.For example
in 2009 cadbury was forced by consumers to top using palm oil in dairy milk chocolate.
Now I guess your wondering why.This is because to get the palm oil to put in the chocolate workers
get paid to cut down the natural rainforest in parts of Malaysia and replace them with palm crops.
By them doing this they are destroying the orangutan's habitat therefor there killing the orangutang's .
It's not just about the orangutan's though our natural wildlife is at risk as well
One hundred year old tree killed snapped and hurt.Imagine if that was you, you'r tall wise and one of the eldest trees in the forest then one day someone decides that you r not valuable anymore and then slam your irreplaceable.
Orangutan's are dying every day because of you people.Thats why I think that we should stop buying all these products that contain palm oil and put all those businesses to shame.
Lots of products contain palm oil for example Nestle chocolate products and even microwave popcorn.
Maybe people think that it will taste better or even look more engaging.
Palm oil can be secretly disguised under different name like vegetable oil, palm fruit oil and cetyl alcohol but don't be mistaken these ingredients may just be your normal day to day ingredients.
So my suggestion is to look online and search up the ingredients in the product and really look into it.
so I reckon when each and everyone of you goes home and looks in your pantry you will find a whole range of products that contain palm oil.
I want to give you all a challenge for one week don't buy or eat any product that contain palm oil and if
everyone does this we may be able to convince other companies to stop using palm oil and use an alternative.
We can force companies to change by buying palm oil free brands.And just remember whenever you pay for a product that contains palm oil you are paying for orangutans to die.
